Rot Prince Slulor Glophand - Daemon Prince

Daemon Prince Slulor Glophand, formerly known as Starlord Slulor Brighthand, emerged from the ashes of his former self as a nightmarish embodiment of Nurgle's corruption. Once a ruler obsessed with the legends of space marines, his encounter with the Death Guard altered him beyond recognition. Infected by a vile Nurgle contagion after encountering a Space Marine whose ship had crash-landed on one of his remote planets, Slulor's descent into darkness was inexorable and absolute. Transformed into a monstrous being with insectoid wings and spindly arachnid-like legs, he became known as Rot Prince Slulor Glophand, a favored executioner of the Pulse of the Maggots. With his newfound power, Slulor reshaped his empire into a festering domain devoted to Nurgle's desires. Leading a chapter of Death Guard marines, their colors now tainted with the darkness of corruption, Slulor spread septicemia and despair across the Veiled Region. Now ascended as a Daemon Prince and champion of the corrupted Death Guard, Slulor Glophand's reign of pestilence and decay knows no bounds.

This is a converstion of a Plague Drone with the torso of the Lord of Plagues from Warhammer. I followed a very similar technique that Red Beard Baron developed and Cliffhaenger adapted. However, I wanted maggots and I wanted more action. I also loved the idea of a clear base to hopefully make the illusion of ooze and maggots on any terrain. I'm so proud of my execution and grateful for the online community for sharing such priceless knowledge. This was my first step into my new hobby and really feels like an excellent conceptual anchor for future miniatures.
